What is an ESRB Rating?

The Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) provides offical ratings for games that are sold in the retail channel. The ESRB charges a fee to rate the software for children additional details can be found at: http://www.esrb.org

The Internet Content Rating Association rates online content including web games, but their guidelines might give you an idea of what things are are considered to be family friendly.
