I have time but no ideas. Where can I get some good ideas for a good software product?
Interesting question! The best software fills a need.
1. Look at your own business or employer, what types of products will help streamline operations and improve productivity? Does software already exist that fills that need, or are there opportunities to meet the need?
2. Frequent forums where people are in need of a solution to get ideas. Brainstorm and evaluate what programs are already available.
3. Ask your customers what needs they have.
4. Expand your product line. Product families tend to do quite well, and offer a great opportunity for upsells, expand on your existing product family.
