What is the normal discount given to resellers?
Great question their is no stock answer. Reseller discounts can run the gamut from 20% to 60%. Of course the more you discount your software to resellers the more incentive they have to push your application over a competitor. Keep in mind that an inexpensive application at 60% off, does not necessarily translate to more dollars to a reseller than a moderately priced application with a 30% discount.
Developers will often increase reseller discounts when they see that a reseller is serious and performs delivering consistent sales.
