How should I launch my software?
Obviously launching a new software application is a very exciting prospect and you want to create the maximum amount of fan fare. Choose your launch time carefully. Keep in mind different countries celebrate various holidays at different times if you are targeting that market you will want to avoid holiday launches, high-vacation periods and weekends. Mid-week launches tend to be the most successful. Do not worry if you have to delay your launch for a few days to maximize potential exposure, use that time to prepare for the release. Update the website offline, complete a press release, drafts of emails to existing customers and setup your order pages.
